38. Verzending.
Mesopotamië, Perzië en Britsch-Indië.
Autodienst Haifa–Bagdad.
6. De gelegenheid om correspondentie voor
Mesopotamië en voor plaatsen in Perzië, gelegen aan of nabij de
Perzische Golf door te zenden met den autodienst Haifa–Bagdad,
blijft gehandhaafd. De op deze wijze overgebrachte stukken voor
Bagdad bereiken ± 15 dagen, die voor Basra ± 10 dagen eerder
bestemming dan bij verzending met de gewone middelen van vervoer.
7. Het te heffen extra recht zal voortaan bedragen 15 cent per
briefkaart, 15 cent per 20 gram of gedeelte daarvan voor brieven
8. Toegelaten is volledig gefrankeerde gewone en aangetekende
correspondentie; uitgezonderd zijn brieven en doosjes met
aangegeven waarde.
9. De stukken moeten
links boven het adres worden voorzien van het duidelijk en bij
voorkeur met een gekleurde lijn onderstreept opschrift „By
overland mail Haifa–Bagdad“. Bovendien moet de plaats van
bestemming op duidelijke wijze worden omhaald, bij voorkeur door
middel van een raam van gekleurde
lijnen.
10. De uitwisseling blijft elken Donderdag geschieden
door Amsterdam-Antwerpen IV.
11. Indien in de
week, waarin geen verzending van bovenbedoelde
luchtpostcorrespondentie plaats vindt, stukken worden
terpostbezorgd, waarvoor blijkens de daarop voorkomende
aanwijzing luchtvervoer wordt verlangd, dan zullen zij ter
bespoediging van de overkomst worden doorgezonden met den
autodienst Haifa–Bagdad. |
38. Shipment. Mesopotamia, Persia and
British India. 7. The additional right to be levied will from now on amount to 15 cents per postcard, 15 cents per 20 grams or part thereof for letters and 7½ cents per 50 grams or part thereof for the other pieces. 8. Admission is fully franked ordinary and registered correspondence; except for letters and boxes with indicated value. 9. The documents must be marked on the left above the address with the clear and preferably underlined line marked "By overland mail Haifa-Baghdad". In addition, the place of destination must be clearly circled, preferably by means of a window of colored lines. 10. The exchange will continue to take place every Thursday through Amsterdam-Antwerp IV. 11. If during the week in which
no dispatch of the above-mentioned airmail correspondence takes
place, documents are delivered, for which according to the
indication thereon air transport is required, then they will be
forwarded with the Haifa-Bagdad car service to speed up the
arrival. |
The text in paragraph 6 above gives the assumption that there has been an earlier Dienstorder for that Autodienst indicating when the service stated, and of course, there must be one more when the service has been abolished. I am looking for these copies!
