Has anyone else noticed or previously recorded this interesting Classic Era handstamp from Dhankuta?  The top line of text reads "Dhankuta District Office."  The bottom reads, "On Government Service."  I have about a half dozen covers with it on the address side posted between 1888 and 1892.  A hand written "On Government Service" endorsement is found on almost all Classic Era stampless official covers with which I am familiar.  This is the only stamped endorsement that I have seen from the Classic Era.  Has anyone seen a similar type from another office?

I have seen a few hundred of these early official covers in my time and have not seen this handstamp before and I would assume that Hellrigl never came across it either as he never recorded it.

ED
I think that Richard Hanchett would like to hear about this and publish it in Postal Himal.
